Ski-ing, Cross-country and Snowboarding in Lierneux

In the winter it is possible to ski or do cross-country or snowboarding on "Le Monty" in Lierneux or on Baraque Fraiture (2 or 7 km distances). All material can be hired.

Brocantes (Flea-markets)

Why not visit a nice flea-market during your stay.
Those who wish to encounter the whole of Belgium -toute la Belgique-, should visit the picturesque market La Batte in Liege on a nice Sunday-morning - between 8.00 and 14.00h. Total length 5-6 km.

There you can find almost anything: antiques, books and records, meat, poultry, cheese, wine, fruit, vegetables, jewelery, exotic fish, goats, novelties, inventions and of course the typical atmosphere of the pubs on the quays.
Address: from Quai Roosevelt (Rooseveltkade) until Quai de Maestricht (Maastrichtkade) and surrounding streets.

In Bomal your can find a smaller version of La Batte with the name of La petite Batte. The covered hall halfway down the market is full of nice things. La petite Batte is great for those who do not like too big a market, but enjoy the atmosphere. Here you will find many stands with wine, which is why Bomal is called the Beaujolais-centre of the Ardennes.

Also in the vicinity of Lierneux/Jevigne there are weekly flea-markets being organised in the summer.
