Chanson du Vent, is situated in the best kept secret of the Ardennes, the Lienne-valley, in the triangle between Baraque Fraiture, Vielsalm and Trois Pont in het lovely village of Jevigné. The Ardennes, where seasons are still seasons, where there is no place for hurry and if you are lucky, you can see the wild animals.Chanson du Vent was built in 1827 as a farm and in 2006 renovated into an attractive B&B, Chambre d'Hôte with separate holiday-cottage The Atelier at the back of the farm, where many old details have been conserved.
In the B&B there are three guestrooms with a beautiful view on the Lienne-Valley for two persons with en-suite bathroom.
There is a stylish dining-room, library with games and a communal living-room with woodburning-stove, where it is nice to sit after a busy day while enjoying a glass of wine or a local beer.
At the back of the B&B is a large garden with several sitting-areas, where you can sit and enjoy the sun in the summer.
Spring, summer, autumn or winter, you can always go for hikes in this beautiful naturereserve, there are 23 sign-posted hikingpaths, but also the Grote routepaden GR14 and GR571 pass the B&B. But it is not just for hiking that the area is attractive. Also for biking the Green roads to the Mediterranean or the Old roads to Santiago de Compostela it is a great place to come and stay.
Or maybe you would rather do something more adventurous like mountainbiking. Maps are available for your use. In the surrounding area you can also play golf in Durbuy, go rock-climbing, canoeing or do other outdoor-activities.
In the winter when the weather has given us a lovely white carpet, you can go skiing or cross-country on the pistes of Lierneux or Baraque Fraiture. Material can be rented. For snow-levels you can consult the website www.ardennen-sneeuw.be.Would you rather like to go out with the car or motor, then we also have some nice possibilites for you. Within a 25 km radius you can go to the tourist-places La Roche, Durbuy, Spa, Francorschamps, Malmedy and Stavelot with a.o. Plopsa Coo and the country of Luxembourg.
Everyone, alone, with two or with a small group of maximum 10, is welcome to come and enjoy the beautiful nature.
So close to home and at the same time so far away, you will go home as if reborn with new energy.
